Lai Kuan-lin’s release request denied

테스트

Taiwanese singer Lai Kuan-lin’s request to have his contract with agency Cube Entertainment terminated has been dismissed by a local court, the company reported on Thursday evening.

“The Seoul Central District Court made the decision today to dismiss Lai’s request made in July to nullify his exclusive contract with our company,” read an official statement by Cube. “We welcome the court’s decision, and would like to announce again that there aren’t any grounds for the contract between Cube and Lai to be terminated.”

“We will continue our contract with Lai following the court’s decision, and search for solutions together through communication.”

Lai, who debuted as part of the project boy band Wanna One after the second season of Mnet’s “Produce 101,” has been active as both a singer and actor in Korea and China.

In July, Lai expressed his wishes to have his contract with Cube terminated through an attorney on claims that Cube had sold his artist management rights in China to a third party without notifying him.
