Kang Daniel to focus on his health
Singer Kang Daniel will be taking a break from work due to “severe anxiety issues,” his agency Konnect Entertainment said on Wednesday.“Kang Daniel has been frequenting the hospital since earlier this year, due to his lowered immune system that led to worsening health as well as psychological distress,” the agency said.
According to the agency, he has been diagnosed with depression and a panic disorder, and has been focusing on healing with therapy and medication.
“He has been complaining of worsening symptoms recently, and we concluded that what is crucial right now is taking a rest for the artist’s health and safety,” Konnect Entertainment said.
Due to his condition, Kang canceled an appearance on MBC’s music program “Show Champion” that was supposed to take place on Wednesday, and will not be promoting his latest release “Touchin’” anymore.
“We are so sorry to worry the fans,” the agency said.
Kang posted several notes online on Tuesday night, confessing that he was having a hard time these days and was “scared to see another news article about [himself].”
“I’ve been holding it all in, but I’m really struggling,” wrote Kang.
Kang released his second EP “Touchin’” last month, after debuting solo in July with “Color On Me.”
