JYP promises to protect its artists

JYP Entertainment will not overlook anyone who torments its artists through stalking or other inappropriate actions, the agency said on Monday.

“We are well aware of the contents that have been posted online regarding [some people] stalking Twice,” the agency said.

“We have requested to take all possible legal measures, and we will be fortifying our protection of the group.”

Recently, a video of a foreign man who claims that he is dating Twice member Nayeon went viral online, catching the attention of the agency.

“We ask fans for any evidence they find on the matter, and we vow to take care of our artists.”

The agency’s concerns came after an incident involving the group that occurred on Sunday.

Jihyo was injured after a crowd of fans swarmed around her to take pictures, resulting in the agency warning that it would take legal actions against aggressors in the future.

“Today our artist fell down and was injured due to people crossing the line to take pictures at Gimpo International Airport,” the agency said via social media on Sunday.

Jihyo tripped and fell soon after arriving at the airport on Sunday due to the crowd of fans and had to be led by fellow Twice members Chaeyoung and Sana back to her car.
