Top K-pop acts such as BTS, Mamamoo, Jannabi, Twice, Seventeen and Paul Kim are expected to attend the 34th Golden Disc Awards, taking place Jan. 4 and 5 at the Gocheok Sky Dome, western Seoul, organizers announced on Monday.
K-pop sensation BTS has been attending the Golden Disc Awards annually since 2014, when it won the Rookie of the Year award. The group has won at least one award at the ceremony every year since then, and last year, it took home six trophies, including Best Music, Best Artist and Best Album.
All of the acts included in the first lineup announcement have been nominated for Golden Disc awards this year, including boy band Jannabi who will be performing at the ceremony for the first time. Its hit song “For Lovers Who Hesitate,” which won the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Band Performance last week, is nominated for the Digital Song of the Year award at the Golden Disc Awards.
