MBC’s latest wildlife doc announced

Actor Ryu Seung-ryong has been selected to take part in MBC’s five-part documentary series about the lives of humans and animals, dubbed “Humanimal,” alongside actors Yoo Hae-jin and Park Shin-hye.

According to MBC, the actors will not only narrate the documentary, but they will also appear as presenters of stories and scenes introducing what it means for animals and humans to coexist in some 10 countries around the world, including Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The first part of the documentary will premiere on MBC on Jan. 6 at 8:55 p.m. The second part will air on Jan. 9 at 10 p.m.

This is not the first wildlife documentary produced by MBC. The channel produced “Tears of the Arctic” in 2008, “Tears of the Amazon” in 2009 and “Tears of Africa” in 2010, all of them providing insight into the wildlife and ecosystems of the regions. “Humanimal” will be produced by Kim Jin-man, Kim Hyun-ki and other producers who worked previously on the channel’s wildlife documentary series.
