Citizens’ Hall gears up for retro fest

Head down to Citizens’ Hall in central Seoul this weekend for a day of retro fun, ranging from movies, music to exhibitions to enjoy over the three-day festivity.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on Wednesday that it will be holding the “Citizens’ Hall Time Travel” festival from Friday to Sunday, with four main attractions for visitors to enjoy.

Multiple forms of entertainment will be on display beginning on Friday, ranging from the old arcade games to TV programs from the 1990s and a special movie made by Citizens’ Hall for visitors to enjoy.

A photo zone will let visitors put themselves among the scenery of Seoul in the 1980s, including streets signs and pictures of houses from the era. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, visitors can get a Polaroid pictures to take home.

Seven acts will perform during the three-day event, with the highlight being on Saturday, when singers Shinji and Kim Wan-sun take the stage.
