The National Museum of Korea released 38,000 photos online taken during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945). The digitalized photos include not only images of the original Sungnyemun Gate, above, which burnt down in 2008 and has been renovated since, but also captures the everyday lives of locals at the time.
