Park Hyatt Seoul
The Park Hyatt Seoul has been featured on the “Gold List 2020,” an exclusive selection of hotels published by influential global travel and leisure magazine Conde Nast Traveler. In the final list of 129 exceptional hotels around the world, published last month, Park Hyatt Seoul was the only Korean destination included, appearing on the “Best Hotels in Asia” category of the list. It is the first Korean property to be featured on the Gold List since 2006.
Conde Nast Traveler is a luxury travel and leisure magazine published in Britain and the United States, and its Gold List, first compiled in 1995, names the world’s best hotels, resorts and cruises.
For 2020, editors from London and New York have compiled a Gold List of 129 properties on six continents that they deem to be creating new traditions based on exceptional service and facilities.
The magazine cited Park Hyatt Seoul’s privacy-oriented service and outstanding facilities as reasons for its inclusion on the 2020 Gold List. Exceptional views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the 24th-floor lobby, customized service matched to the individual needs of every guest, and the privacy afforded by having only 10 guest rooms on each floor were cited as highlights of the Park Hyatt Seoul experience. The hotel’s guest bathrooms, boasting granite-lined interiors and extra-deep baths, also contributed to Conde Nast Traveler’s verdict, while the customized spa treatments and convenient spa facilities were also highly rated. Meanwhile, the editors cited Park Hyatt Seoul’s three restaurants, helmed by master chefs, and room service menu, as further attractions. Conde Nast Traveler’s suggestion of “enjoying a bowl of room-service beef and seaweed soup and some abalone porridge along with a cold Oriental Breweries beer” reflects Park Hyatt Seoul’s efforts to present contemporary interpretations of Korean cuisine through a variety of promotions. The magazine also noted the abundant dining options available within the hotel itself, from home-style Italian cooking at Cornerstone to vinyl music, Japanese cuisine and soju cocktails at The Timber House.
