YG warns Chinese fans about fraud

YG Entertainment warned fans on Wednesday night that singer G-Dragon of Big Bang is not touring in China and therefore fans should not pay for tickets to see him.

“We have confirmed that some websites and individuals have put out a false notification of G-Dragon’s China tour, even taking in reservations and pre-orders,” the agency said.

“It is not true that G-Dragon is going on a China tour.”

According to the agency, some people have been falsely collecting money by using the singer’s name, which is illegal.

“The official tour schedules are only available through YG Entertainment’s website. Please note that any performance not posted on the website will not take place,” the agency said.

Big Bang will be making their long-awaited return to the stage with an appearance at the Coachella festival in April. No K-pop acts have been active in China for the last couple of years, due to an ongoing diplomatic freeze between China and Korea.
