Korea’s U-23 football team players, head coach Kim Hak-bum, in center wearing a grey jacket, as well as Korea Football Association President Chung Mong-gyu, second from right in front row, pose for a photo with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship trophy at Incheon International Airport on Tuesday. By defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the finals on Sunday, the young Taeguk Warriors won the AFC U-23 Football Championship for the first time and earned their spot at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Throughout the tournament, Korea was undefeated. The win means Korea will be playing at the Olympics in the men’s football tournament for the ninth straight time this year. Upon arrival, head coach Kim said that his goal is to finish better than the bronze medal that Korea won back at the 2012 Olympics in London. [NEWS1]
