Bae Cheol-soo heads to television

One of the longest running radio programs in Korea is MBC FM4U’s “Bae Cheol-soo’s Music Camp,” hosted by singer Bae Cheol-soo. The program, which began in 1990, is now celebrating its 30th year.

To make this 30th anniversary more eventful, Bae said he decided to take his “30 years of experience of talking to different people and interviewing thousands of musicians to a TV program titled ‘Bae Cheol-soo Jam,’ produced by Choi Won-seok on MBC.” This new weekly TV show is a talk show on which famous people from different areas will talk with Bae about their life and music.

The first episode aired on Monday evening at 9:50 p.m., featuring folk singer Lee Jang-hee, who was a member of folk band C’est Si Bon, which was quite popular in Korea during the ’70s and ’80s, and 1970s diva Jeong Mi-jo.
