‘Beasts’ release date gets delayed
Local thriller “Beasts Clawing at Straws” has postponed its release due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to film distribution company Megabox Plus M on Tuesday.The film was scheduled to hit the theaters on Feb. 12. The date of their local premiere currently remains undecided.
“Due to the spread of coronavirus, we wanted to minimize the damage as much as we can and hope everything gets better soon,” the company said.
Adapted from a Japanese novel by Keisuke Sone, the film stars a big-name line-up featuring veteran actors Jeon Do-yeon, Yoon Yeo-jeong, Jung Woo-sung and more.
As the title suggests, the movie is about a group of people turning into beasts, ready to do anything to get their hands on money that will turn their lives around.
