Kwon Soon-woo reaches 76th in ATP world rankingsKwon Soon-woo moved up six spots in the latest Association of Tennis Professionals world ranking in men’s singles announced Monday.
Most recently, Kwon competed at the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com in Delray Beach, Florida. He advanced to the quarterfinals and lost 0-2 (3-6, 4-6) to Reilly Opelka of the United States.
But ranking 76th is Kwon’s highest career ranking. Since Chung Hyeon hasn’t started competing in tournaments this year due to an injury, Kwon remains the highest-ranked Korean tennis player in men’s singles.
Kwon will continue his season at the Mexican Open, and in the first round, he will play against Opelka once again on Wednesday.
