IFEZ starts to provide useful information translated
Published: 04 Mar. 2020, 20:17
IFEZ is a future city in development since 2003. It incorporates residential, business and tourism infrastructure.
The free economic zone authority said it will post foreign-language information on the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Korea and on how to avoid contracting the disease.
Facebook, Instagram and Weibo will be utilized, and the announcements will be made in English, Chinese and Japanese.
It is also promoting the “emergency ready application” app developed by the Ministry of Interior and Safety for foreigners.
The IFEZ said starting Wednesday it is expanding its apartment notification service in English from three apartment complexes in Songdo, Incheon, to 22 apartment complexes.
Management sends the messages to the IFEZ’s global center by email, and the messages are then translated.
Previously, foreign residents had to use apps to translate the announcements.
