BTS 'Map of the Soul' world tour dates are in limbo worldwide

Dates for the BTS “Map of the Soul” world tour are being moved or canceled due to the continuing spread of the coronavirus worldwide, the group’s agency Big Hit Entertainment announced through the fan community service Weverse on Tuesday.

“Right now, everything is up in the air for the performances in some regions and countries, making it hard to fix anything for sure,” the agency said.

“Therefore, some performances will either be moved or canceled.”

The agency is “on the lookout” for how the situation is unfolding in each region and will be abiding by regional policies in order to make the final call, Big Hit said.

Although the group’s Seoul concerts in April have been canceled, the company is also looking for other venues to perform at “should the outbreak slow down.”

“We prioritize the health of our artists and the audience, and we promise to keep our promise to the fans,” the agency said.

BTS was set to begin its “Map of the Soul” world tour on April 11 in Seoul and make stops in 18 cities for a total of 39 performances worldwide.

Sales of tickets for the European leg of the tour have been postponed, and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, has stopped operating, putting the group’s scheduled show in limbo.

“Details for each city will follow soon,” the agency said.
