GenBody gets green light to export Covid-19 test kits
GenBody has received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to export its rapid diagnostic kits for the novel coronavirus, the pharmaceutical company said Monday.The local test kit manufacturer said it is in discussions to export 6.2 million units of the approved test kits to 15 countries.
The company claims that its rapid Covid-19 diagnostic test takes less than 10 minutes to diagnosis, with at least 96 percent accuracy at antibody development stages.
GenBody said it is working with Chinese authorities and hospitals to conduct research and clinical trials for the product. The company added it also filed an application for emergency use approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
