Homeplus has exported two of its tissue products to Singapore, where demand for daily necessities has surged during the coronavirus pandemic.
The retailer said a total of 2,000 units of Simplus toilet paper and facial tissues left Busan port on Monday.
They will be exclusively sold online on the e-commerce platform Qoo10.
Singapore imports 90 percent of daily necessities from Malaysia, but the travel restrictions announced by Malaysian government last month resulted in panic-buying of necessities.
Homeplus currently exports its private labeled products to countries including the United States and Hong Kong.
