Homeplus to export toilet paper, tissues to Singapore
Homeplus has exported two of its tissue products to Singapore, where demand for daily necessities has surged during the coronavirus pandemic. The retailer said a total of 2,000 units of Simplus toilet paper and facial tissues left Busan port on Monday.
They will be exclusively sold online on the e-commerce platform Qoo10.
Singapore imports 90 percent of daily necessities from Malaysia, but the travel restrictions announced by Malaysian government last month resulted in panic-buying of necessities.
Homeplus currently exports its private labeled products to countries including the United States and Hong Kong.
