Movie favorites are making a return to local theaters
An array of Disney films will revisit the local box office this month in an effort to revive theaters suffering from the coronavirus.On April 15, superhero favorites “Deadpool” (2016) and “Logan” (2017) will be re-released for local fans to enjoy once again.
“The Avengers” (2012) and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015) will arrive on screen on April 23, and “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) on April 29. The films were massive hits at the local box office.
In May, new films will have their theatrical premieres, including “The Call of the Wild” with Harrison Ford, Disney Pixar animated film “Onward” and Kristen Stewart’s “Underwater.”
In June, “X-Men: First Class” (2011), “X-Men: Days of Future Past” (2014), “The Martian” (2015), “The Greatest Showman” (2017), “Hidden Figures” (2017), “Bohemian Rhapsody” (2018) and “Alita: Battle Angel” (2019) will also return to theaters.
Disney planned to release its remake of “Mulan” in March and “Black Widow” in May, but both have been delayed due to the outbreak. The former will now be released in July and the latter in November.
