Zico and Kang Daniel collaborate on their new single ‘Refresh’
Rapper Zico and singer Kang Daniel dropped their collaboration “Refresh” on Thursday, as a part of a joint project launched by Pepsi and Starship Entertainment.“Refresh” is a rhythmic pop track that uses traditional instruments to express the beauty of Korea, topped off with Zico’s rap and Kang’s vocals.
World-renowned DJ Steve Aoki took part in co-producing the song with Zico.
The project, dubbed the “2020 Global K-pop Project - For the Love of Korea,” will have singers from across K-pop collaborate with each other to broaden the musical spectrum within Korea.
The two artists have had a smooth start to this year: Zico released his hit “Any Song,” while Kang dropped his first EP “Cyan” last month, with lead track “2U.”
The song was released through local streaming services on Thursday at 6 p.m.
