Korean Air and Hyundai Card issue private label card

Hyundai Card launched a private label credit card (PLCC) with Korean Air Monday that provides a specific set of benefits to customers that use the air carrier.

Hyundai Card said Monday it released four types of PLCCs, named Korean Air Card 030, 070, 150 and Korean Air the First. The benefits of the latest releases are designed mainly by Korean Air.

While users can accumulate Korean Air mileage points with spending, they can also enjoy benefits of Hyundai Card’s existing products such as free entrance to the card company’s themed libraries and discounts for various cultural events organized by the company, including the widely known Super Concert series.

All customers of the latest PLCCs can accumulate 1 point per transaction of 1,000 won. Additional mileage accumulation depends on the level of the credit card. Users can also receive discount coupons for global flights and in-flight duty free shops.

The annual membership fee for the 030, 070, 150 type is 30,000 won, 70,000 won and 150,000 won respectively. The First costs 500,000 won per year.
