Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

Ongoing: Grand Deli, located on the first floor of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, revealed that it will roll out "D'Gold", a coffee bean blend of the finest raw coffee beans carefully selected by the hotel’s chief barista. With summer just around the corner, the hotel's first coffee D'Gold is thoughtfully blended to exude its maximum flavor when enjoyed with ice.

The chief barista blended D’Gold with premium beans from three regions: Brazil, Ethiopia and Costa Rica. It is characteristically medium-bodied to heighten its fresh, invigorating acidity, with the sweetness of berries and the fragrance of herbs and roses to delightfully fill your mouth. Thanks to its distinct sour citrus flavor, it is recommend that you enjoy it as an iced Americano or as an iced latte, since its flavor deepens when fused with the savory taste of milk.

As for desserts that complement D'Gold, the deli recommends raspberry or blueberry macarons which mimic the berries’ freshness and D'Gold's floral aroma. By contrast, smooth and rich desserts like New York cheesecake or tiramisu are perfect when you enjoy D'Gold as a latte.

The chief barista of InterContinental Hotel, Yoo In-seok, who pioneered the hotel's PB Coffee Bean, says, "We are finally launching D'Gold after meticulous tasting and selection of coffee beans for about a year. We wanted to create a coffee that evokes the pleasant scent of May’s roses."

D'Gold is available at Grand Deli, which is located on the first floor of the hotel. An Americano costs 7,500 won ($6.15) and a lattes cost 8,000 won (tax included). Grand Deli will also introduce disposable drip bags in the near future so that customers can appreciate D'Gold at home or at work.
