End of the line?

Social networking site Cyworld’s office in Songpa District, southern Seoul, is empty on Thursday. According to the National Tax Service website, the company — once the most popular social network in Korea and one of the first in the world — has been "closed" since May 26. But the Ministry of Science and ICT, however, says Cyworld had not filed the mandatory paperwork to cease operations, adding that the company's CEO Jun Je-wan says he does not intend to close down the service.
