Blackpink's 'Whistle' music video hits 500 million views

Girl group Blackpink’s music video for their song “Whistle,” released in 2016, hit 500 million views on YouTube as of Saturday.
 
The group’s agency YG Entertainment announced the milestone in a statement Saturday, stating that it is the group’s sixth music video with over 500 million views. Others include music videos for their songs “Boombayah,” “Ddu-du Ddu-du” and “Kill This Love.”
 
“Whistle” was released in August 2016, when the group debuted.

Blackpink is scheduled to drop their new release “How You Like that” on June 26. They will be performing the song for the first time during a special appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
