Girl group Blackpink is setting record after record with its latest release "How You Like That," which sat on No. 2 of Spotify's Global Top 50 Chart, marking the highest ever spot reached by a K-pop song in history.

"How You Like That," a pop dance track released on Friday, stormed local and overseas music charts immediately after its release, as well as setting new records on various platforms.

Not only did it become the fastest music video ever to reach 100 million views on YouTube, hitting the mark within a whopping 32 hours on Sunday, "How You Like That" topped the iTunes Song Chart in 64 regions on Friday as well, also the highest number by a K-pop girl group.

The No. 2 spot on Spotify is three slots higher than its previous record set with "Kill This Love" which reached No. 5 last year. This is the first time for Blackpink to sit on the top 10 list of the chart.

Blackpink's monumental achievement on Spotify is meaningful in that it is the world's largest music service with 200 million users and directly affects the charting results on Billboard and British Official Chart.

"How You Like That" was released on June 26, as the pre-release single of the band's upcoming full-length album which is set to drop in September. The track has more hip-hop elements than usual, according to the group, and carries the message of "never lose hope in any situation."
