Blackpink smashes its own record for fastest time to reach 300M views
Blackpink's music video for its latest hit "How You Like That" hit 300 million views on YouTube on Friday afternoon, just under a month since its release.
According to the band's agency YG Entertainment, the music video hit the 300-million-view mark at 6:11 p.m., just 21 days and 11 minutes after its release on June 26.
"This is an unprecedented speed, the fastest ever in the history of K-pop music videos," the agency said.
The last record for the fastest music video to reach 300 million views on YouTube was also held by Blackpink, when its music video for "Kill This Love" (2019) hit 300 million views in 32 days, four hours and 53 minutes, meaning the girl group bested its own record by 11 days.
The dance practice video for "How You Like That" is also creeping toward the 100-million-view mark, according to the agency.
The group has 19 YouTube videos — including both music videos and dance practice videos — that have over 100 million views, and has the largest number of subscribers for a single K-pop act to its official channel, with 41.8 million subscribers.
"How You Like That" is still ranking high on music charts in and outside of Korea.
