'You Quiz on the Block' marks highest viewership since first airing

TvN’s entertainment show “You Quiz on the Block” which aired on Wednesday logged a record viewership rating of 6.8 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area on Wednesday, marking the highest viewership since its first broadcast in 2018.
 
According to Nielsen Korea, the viewer ratings of “You Quiz on the Block” episode 68 aired on Wednesday at 9 p.m., which are recorded on a minute-by-minute basis, were 4.3 on average and 6.8 percent at the highest in the Seoul metropolitan area, and 3.6 percent on average and 5.6 percent at the highest in areas nationwide.
 
Among people aged between 20 and 49, the viewer ratings averaged 2.8 percent and reached 3.8 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, and averaged 2.4 percent and 3.2 percent at the highest nationwide. 
 
“You Quiz on the Block” is a variety show starring Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho who talk to ordinary people to learn about their lives and give them chances to win cash prizes by quizzing them.
 
On the previous episode, Yoo and Jo invited singer and producer Park Jin-young and actor Seo Kwon-soon as guests and had a chance to talk with ordinary people pursuing various careers such as a prison guard, a stroke specialist and a funeral guide. 
 
Park Jung-ho, who has been a prison guard for the past 15 years, drew viewers' attention by sharing the story of his unusual profession.
 
Lee Seung-hoon, a stroke specialist, helped viewers understand strokes — from the cause and symptoms, to self-diagnosis and even prevention methods.  
 
Shim Eun-yi, the funeral guide who helps with the last farewell for those who pass away, talked about her daily routine.  
 
"It's really rewarding to see that more people are starting to love our programs. I would like to thank the viewers who send a lot of love," producer Kim Min-seok, who directs the show, said.
