Suh Min-jeong, 2nd largest Amorepacific shareholder, is wed
Suh Min-jeong, daughter of Amorepacific Group Chairman Suh Kyung-bae, and Hong Jung-hwan, the eldest son of Bokwang Investment Chairman Hong Seok-joon, were married Monday.
The couple wed after holding an engagement ceremony on June 27.
The wedding took place at Hotel Shilla in central Seoul.
Suh studied economics at Cornell University. She was employed by Bain & Company before she started working for Amorepacific in 2017. She studied business at a graduate school in China and then returned to Amorepacific. She currently works at the company’s beauty sales and strategy team.
With 2.93 percent of Amorepacific Group's common stock, she is the second-largest shareholder of the company after the chairman.
Suh’s husband appraises investment at Bokwang Investment, which provides investment management services. Bokwang Investment made investment in WayWearable, a skin care solution and device-making start-up that also received investment from Amorepacific in 2014.
