the latest in an alarming succession of mysterious deaths across the country — are raising alarm about the safety of vaccinations as the country heads into a Covid-complicated winter flu season.

코로나바이러스로 더 복잡해진 독감의 계절 겨울이 다가오는 가운데 독감백신 접종 후 사망 사례가 6명으로 늘어나면서 백신 접종 안전성에 대한 우려가 커지고 있다.

A 53-year-old woman in Seoul, 89-yearold man in Gyeonggi, 78-year-old man in Daegu and a 68-year-old man in Jeju died following flu vaccinations administered earlier, following the deaths of two other elderly people in Daejeon and North Jeolla on Tuesday, as well as a teenager in Incheon last week.

독감백신 접종 후 서울에서 53세 여성, 경기에서 89세 남성, 대구에서 78세 남성, 제주에서 68세 남성이 사망했다. 이에 앞서 화요일엔 대전과 전북에서 노인 1명씩 숨졌다. 지난주에는 인천에서 10대 청소년 1명이 숨졌다.

Two other people died after vaccinations over the past few days, according to health officials, but their families asked that their details be kept private.

보건당국에 따르면, 지난 몇 일 동안 독감백신 접종 후 2명이 사망했으나, 유가족들이 자세한 내용을 공개하지 말것을 요청했다.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said the victim in Seoul received a flu shot at 12 p.m. on Saturday and died 85 hours later early Wednesday morning. She received a vaccine of the type SKYCellflu manufactured by SK Bioscience.

질병관리청은 서울에서 발생한 사망자는 토요일 낮 12시쯤 독감백신을 접종했고 85시간 후인 수요일 아침에 숨졌다. 그 여성은 SK 바이오사이언스가 제조한 스카이셀플루 백신을 맞았다.

In Gyeonggi, an 89-year-old man died on Wednesday 51 hours after receiving a Boryung Flu V Tetra vaccine injection on Monday. KDCA officials said he had underlying conditions including diabetes and had undergone heart surgery twice.

경기에서 사망한 남성(89세)은 월요일 보령 플루 브이테라 백신 주사를 맞고 51시간 지난 수요일에 숨졌다. 질병관리청은 그 남성은 당뇨병을 포함한 기저질환이 있었고 심장수술도 두 번 받았다고 밝혔다.

According to health officials in Daegu, its local victim was administered a free vaccination at a local clinic in the city at around noon Tuesday.

대구 보건당국에 따르면, 대구에서 발생한 사망자는 화요일 정오 무렵 한 지역 의료원에서 무료 독감백신을 접종 받았다.
