CJ ENM's 2020 Visionary [CJ ENM]

Beginning this year, CJ ENM will annually select 10 influencers who contributed to the betterment of Korean culture, granting them the title of “visionary,” the company announced on Thursday.

This year's visionaries announced on Thursday were screenwriters Kim Eun-hee, Park Ji-eun, MBC variety show producer Kim Tae-ho, drama series producer Shin Won-ho, BTS, Blackpink, director Bong Joon-ho, actor Song Kang-ho and television personalities Rain and Yoo Jae-suk.

“Those chosen represent a light shining toward a new direction [in the cultural industry] in their own languages, consoling the public even in the hardest times,” the company said. “This new title was created to sympathize with the spirit of the times and do our best as an entertainment company to prepare for the future.”

The company further stated that they will be highlighting the achievements of the 10 visionaries through various promotional videos on their channels. The recipients will also be announced by host Song Joong-ki during the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), scheduled to stream online, on Sunday.
