Loona to perform on KIIS FM's 'Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village'
Girl group Loona will perform on this year’s "Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village" conducted by KIIS FM, the leading music station in Los Angeles, the group’s agency BlockBerry Creative announced on Tuesday.
Loona is the first K-pop girl group in more than 10 years to participate in the show since Wonder Girls performed in 2009.
The 12-member girl group drew global attention and made headlines after entering the Billboard 200 chart with its third EP “Midnight (12:00)” earlier this month.
The radio station holds the annual music festival “Jingle Ball” at the end of each year, in which the “Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village” serves as a pre-show for the festival. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, both "Jingle Ball" and "Jingle Ball Village" will include pre-recorded performances broadcast over the radio.
Meanwhile, the lineup for the "Jingle Ball Village" includes singer Chungha, who was recently confirmed infected with Covid-19. Her performance has already been recorded.
This year's "Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village" will air on KIIS FM’s iHeartradio on Friday at 10 a.m. and is available to anyone in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia or New Zealand.
