Actor Kang So-ra gives birth to her first child

Actor Kang So-ra has given birth to her first child, her agency Plum Actors announced on Thursday.

“Kang gave birth to a baby daughter at a hospital in Seoul this morning,” the agency said. “Both mother and baby are healthy.”

The agency announced Kang had gotten married in August last year and news of her pregnancy was made public in November. Her husband is not in the public eye.

The actor debuted in 2009 through the film “4th Period Mystery” and rose to stardom through her role as young Chun-hwa in the 2011 film “Sunny.” Since then she has featured in various television drama series such as “Dream High 2” (2012) on KBS, “Ugly Alert” (2013) and “Doctor Stranger” (2014) on SBS and “Misaeng” (2014) on tvN.
