2021.7.2 Hotel Events

Park Hyatt Seoul
Through Oct. 10: The Lounge at Park Hyatt Seoul greets summer with the launch of the 2021 bingsu (shaved ice) collection. With flavors including honey gold, persimmon, cherry and red bean, this year’s bingsu are made with fine shavings of organic milk ice for a soft, melt-in-your-mouth experience.
Botanical mango bingsu, this year’s special edition summer dessert, celebrates the freshness of plants. Ice flakes crafted from frozen barley shoots and organic milk are generously infused with yogurt ice cream for an irresistibly soft texture, while toppings of wheatgerm, Jeju mango and viola petals conjure shades of green and blue to bring pleasure to both the eyes and palate.
The year-round favorite honey gold bingsu features fresh honey from Korea’s Mount Worak region and topped with apple purée and roast pecans for a subtle, sweet flavor. Soft persimmon bingsu strikes an exquisite balance of sikhye (rice punch drink) ice and persimmon ice cream, while cherry bingsu features frozen milk shavings and cherry ice cream topped with a thick layer of cherries and drizzled with fruit juice. The traditional red bean bingsu has classic toppings of homemade organic red bean paste, chewy glutinous rice cakes, preserved chestnuts, and jujube chips. Bingsu combination combines two bingsu varieties of your choice, presented in style on a traditionally patterned stand shrouded in a mist of dry ice rising from below to create the perfect picture for social media.
All bingsu toppings are also available as sides, offering unlimited customization. Bingsu varieties and toppings may change in accordance with the seasonal supply of ingredients. Prices begin at 46,000 won (including tax).
