2021.8.5 Hotel Events

JW Marriott Hotel Seoul
Through Aug. 31: The Margaux Grill at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul greets the summer holiday season with the Mediterranean Promotion. Two menus of Mediterranean-style seafood and grilled dishes are being served amid the fresh breeze and stunning views of the seventh-floor garden throughout August. The four-course lunch menu begins with Tomato Gazpacho, a tangy, Spanish-style cold soup of blended tomatoes, cucumbers, olive oil and sherry vinegar, followed by a choice of Mediterranean Salad of fresh vegetables, crunchy cuttlefish and herbs and topped with deep-fried chickpeas or Shrimp & Mango Salad, a delightful combination of tangy mango and succulent shrimp. The main course is a choice of Zuppa di Pesce, a hot Sicilian-style seafood stew of tomato, lobster, shrimp and scallops; Grilled Veal Ribs with Greek-style Spanakopita, an oven-baked pie of spinach, feta and egg; and Lamb Chops grilled in a sweet and crispy garlic-infused herb crust. For a supplementary charge, a choice of tender, flavorsome Ureongchan Korean Hanwoo beef or U.S. Prime beef striploin and tenderloin, matured through The Margaux Grill’s proprietary aging process, is also available. The final course is a dessert of homemade Mango Gelato and Yogurt Gelato, perfect for cooling down in the heat and humidity of summer.

The six-course dinner menu further elevates the Mediterranean gourmet experience, with lunchtime main dish Zuppa di Pesce and Jamón and Shine Muscat Grapes served in addition to the other four lunch courses. Both the lunch and the dinner menu are available paired with Greek wines for a supplementary charge.

This August’s Mediterranean menu is served in JW Marriott Hotel Seoul’s seventh-floor garden, designed by Olson Kundig, the architectural studio renowned for its innovative use of nature in buildings. With grass, herbs and trees evoking the ambience of a European secret garden, the venue is famed as a beautiful urban destination for relaxing in nature. Accompanied by Mediterranean dining on a sunny day, the garden conjures the feel of an escape to southern Italy.

The Margaux Grill’s Mediterranean Promotion is priced from 90,000 won for lunch and 170,000 won for dinner, including tax and service charge, with prices varying according to choices of dish.
