STAYC, the rookie girl group, received a 100K New Record Certification Plaque for "Stereotype" from Hantoo, a Korean album sales tracker.

The EP, the group's first, has been available for a week.

High Up Entertainment said 114,203 copies were shipped between Sept. 4 and 12, making STAYC the "first and only girl group that debuted in 2020 to have sold over 100,000 copies of an album in the first week."

The group is now ranked eighth among K-pop girl groups for first-week album sales, following Blackpink, IZ*ONE, Twice, Red Velvet, ITZY, Mamamoo and (G)I-DLE.

On Tuesday evening, the group posted a video clip on YouTube thanking the fans, saying "it's all because of our fans that we achieved this feat. We will repay all your love through music."

"Stereotype" is in line with STAYC's "Teenfresh" concept, which promotes health and lively mindsets for young people. The EP's tracks are "Stereotype," "I'll be There," "Slow Down" and "Complex."
