Asiana Airlines is resuming business class services on domestic flights starting next month.

The airline said Thursday that it will start to offer business class on domestic flights starting on Nov. 5. The service was last offered in November 2003.

The carrier cited the increasing number of passengers taking domestic flights as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic as the reason it has decided to resume the service.

Reservations for business class seats started on Thursday.

Business class will be offered on seven domestic routes, which include Gimpo to Jeju, Daegu to Jeju, Gwangju to Jeju and Yeosu to Jeju. The airline's A321-200 and A330-300 airplanes have business class seats.

Business class seats are up to 30 percent more expensive for domestic flights during peak seasons.

Asiana Airlines charges between 162,300 won ($140) and 184,300 won for a business class seat on its Gimpo to Jeju route. An economy seat on the same flight costs between 107,300 won and 127,300 won.

The perks of business class include use of an airport lounge and priority boarding.
