Day of the Dead

An altar to celebrate the Day of the Dead is prepared at the residence of Ambassador of Mexico to Korea Bruno Figueroa and his wife, Veronica Gonzalez, on Saturday. The altar this year included a picture of Antonio Villarreal, first president of the Association of Mexican Veterans of the Korean War, who passed away on May 1. As per tradition, some funny and satirical poems related to the subject were read to the audience, including some written by the ambassador. The event was held with adherence to Covid-19 social distancing rules and all attendees were vaccinated, according to the embassy. [EMBASSY OF MEXICO IN KOREA]
