YG recreates 'the SameE' cafe on Naver Z’s metaverse app

YG Entertainment recreated its multi-purpose cafe “the SameE” on Naver Z’s metaverse app Zepeto, the K-pop powerhouse said on Tuesday.

In real life, the SamE is a cafe space located in the agency’s headquarters in Hapjeong, western Seoul. It also has a merchandise store and various facilities for fan events and exhibitions.

As the Covid-19 pandemic made it difficult for fans, especially those who are outside of Korea, to visit the actual cafe, YG opened the SameE in the metaverse.

Users on Zepeto are able to see the same merchandise displayed in the real cafe, as well as watch girl group Blackpink’s music videos.

“We will gift fans with different experiences that suit the social distancing era via metaverse platforms,” YG Entertainment said.
