BTS takes home three prizes from E! People’s Choice Awards 2021

BTS won three prizes at the E! People’s Choice Awards 2021, which were held on Dec. 7 in Santa Monica.

Though the boy band did not attend the ceremony in person, it took home the awards for The Song of 2021 and The Music Video of 2021, both for its track "Butter," and for The Group of 2021.

At last year's awards it won all three of the aforementioned categories as well as The Album of 2020 for "Map of the Soul: 7."

Other nominees in the categories with BTS included Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, The Jonas Brothers and Dan + Shay.

“The awards make us so happy as they acknowledge our efforts,” BTS said through Big Hit Music on Wednesday. “We are so grateful, it’s difficult to express in words. Our fandom ARMY has always been supporting us and that’s why we are able to come this far. Thank you for loving us and ‘Butter’ so much. We want to make people who are going through difficult times happy with our our music.”
