BTS nominated for International Group of the Year at 2022 Brit Awards

K-pop superband BTS has been nominated for International Group of the Year at the 2022 Brit Awards, according to Britain’s highest profile music awards ceremony.

This is the second consecutive year the Korean boy band has been nominated for the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards.

For the 2022 International Group of the Year award, BTS will be competing against the legendary Swedish pop band Abba, which made a comeback in September with its new album “Voyage” after a 40-year hiatus.

The three other contenders are Måneskin, an Italian rock band; The War On Drugs, an American indie rock band; and Silk Sonic, an American R&B duo composed of star singers Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 8, 2022, at London's O2 Arena.

British stars Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz and Dave have received the most nominations.
