All four members of Omega X who tested positive for Covid-19 last week have been released from self-quarantine, according to the band’s agency Spire Entertainment on Tuesday.
“Members Jaehan, Hangyeom, Jehyun and Junghoon have been deemed to no longer have the Covid-19 virus by the national health authorities, and have been released from quarantine,” said Spire Entertainment in a statement.
The four had tested positive for the virus on Jan. 9, and the group had temporarily called off all of its promotional activities and performances of its new EP.
The band dropped its second EP titled “Love Me Like” on Jan. 5.
But as the members are now out of quarantine, the band will resume activities starting with performing at the 31st Seoul Music Festival set to be held on Jan. 24.
Omega X debuted in June last year with its first EP “Vamos” and has released songs such as “What’s Goin’ On” (2021) and “Love Me Like” (2022). The band consists of 11 members — Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan. All of them have been fully vaccinated and have also received booster shots, according to the agency.
