Through Feb. 2: Fairmont Ambassador Seoul announces the launch of its 2022 Lunar New Year Hamper Set selection. This year’s 2022 Lunar New Year Hamper Set selection reveals a diverse range of luxury gifts, with options to delight recipients of every taste, from valued business associates to close friends and family.
 
The 2022 selection comprises seven vouchers for use at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, as well as the Canadian Maple Syrup & Nuts Set, the Fairmont Beer & Nuts Set, the Lunar New Year Tteokguk Meal Kit Set and the Deep Ocean Caviar and Champagne Set.
 
The seven hotel vouchers include 100,000 won ($83.90) in hotel spending credit, a High Tea at Fairmont Set for two at The Atrium Lounge, buffet dining at restaurant Spectrum (lunch or dinner for two), dining at Mariposa (lunch or dinner course for two), and whisky sets at rooftop bar M29 (Johnnie Walker Blue Label or Royal Salute 38 Year Old).
 
The diverse gift set collection ranges from restaurant dining vouchers unlocking epicurean experiences curated by the hotel’s culinary team and chefs to Fairmont Beer, brewed in the pristine setting of Jeju Island, nut sets made with honey from bees kept in Seoul Forest, a Lunar New Year tteokguk (rice cake soup) meal kit set prepared by hotel chefs from the finest handpicked ingredients, and luxury caviar cultivated by the Seomjin River near wild Mt. Jirisan, artfully paired with Golden Blanc champagne. Fairmont Ambassador Seoul’s Lunar New Year Hamper Sets are available from The Atrium Lounge, located on the first floor of the hotel. Hamper set prices range from 85,000 to 2.2 million won (including tax and VAT).

Through Feb. 28: Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas presents its "Winter Family Package" with various entertainment alongside a breakfast buffet for families who wish to spend time together during the Lunar New Year holidays and the school winter break. 
 
The Winter Family Package offers a one-night stay and a breakfast buffet for three family members (two adults and one child aged 12 or younger) at Grand Kitchen for a vibrant start to the day. The room is equipped with an extra bed at no additional cost for a comfortable stay for three, and a “Kodak Mini Shoot 2 Retro Polaroid Camera” can be hired to capture special memories.
 
The package also includes various benefits linked to Parnas Mall and Starfield COEX Mall, which are indoors, making them perfect to enjoy during the cold winter. The flagship store of Baskin Robbins in Parnas Mall presents a voucher for Hand Pack Ice Cream (pint) that can be selected from 100 flavors, and guests of the package also receive two vouchers for COEX Aquarium suitable to explore with children.
 
The Signature I-Bear Gift Set, which includes “I-Bear,” a characterized icon of the hotel, comes with specially made Private Brand items, including a corduroy I-Bear, a mini key ring, a phone grip, diary stickers and a postcard, adding more value to the package. 
 
Lastly, guests can access the 25-meter-length indoor swimming pool and the Metropolitan Fitness Club to complete their stay in a healthy way.
 
The choice of the room for the package is between the Classic Room and the Junior Suite Room and is available from 430,000 won.

Through Jan. 31: JW Marriott Hotel Seoul celebrates winter with a variety of dining promotions showcasing the season’s finest seafood.
 
Flavors, the luxury buffet restaurant located on the second floor of the hotel, presents the Seafood Extravaganza, a selection of the freshest winter seafood in one remarkable dining destination. The Seafood Station features immaculately-prepared plump prawns, deliciously chewy abalone, tender scallops and fresh snow crab, while the Hot Food Station serves plump snow crab, succulent oysters, golden butter-grilled lobster tail and tomato or white wine-based seafood stews garnished with basil and lemon. All dishes are freshly prepared daily, and may vary according to the availability of ingredients.
 
The Margaux Grill, the flagship seventh-floor grill dining destination, presents the Best Wood-fired Grill menu throughout the month of January, featuring fresh yellowtail, mussels, oysters and other seasonal delicacies. The promotional menu features Yellowtail Ceviche, made from yellowtail pickled with European-style sauerkraut, fish roe and pickles; and rich Mussel Chowder, crafted with a variety of vegetables; followed by a choice of Grilled Oysters, featuring plump Korean sambaeche oysters; or Agnolotti filled with beef ragu. The main course features a choice of Mushroom Escabeche (deep-fried fish or chicken in a vinegar marinade); Beef Ribeye Steak with Blue Cheese Butter; or Thick Skirt Steak with Smoked Shallots and Sweet Soy Sauce. The final course is a warming dessert of Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with Earl Grey Ice Cream. A four-course version of the menu, without the middle course, is served at lunchtimes. The lunchtime and dinnertime menus are priced at 110,000 won and 170,000 won, respectively, with two wine pairings for extra charge.
 
Luxury Japanese restaurant Tamayura presents the Tea and Kaiseki promotion throughout January, combining tastings of premium Japanese teas with a new authentic kaiseki menu. Comprising 10 courses, the menu begins with organically-grown Gyokuro, a premium tea from Kyoto’s renowned tea-producing region Uji, and a selection of appetizers including Yuzu Tofu, fresh citron filled with cod innards and braised tofu. Subsequent courses include Seasonal Sashimi; Fugu Suimono, a clear-broth stew made with hire-sake (sake infused with a grilled blowfish fin); Jeju Tilefish Yuanyaki, grilled in a sauce of miso, soy sauce and mirin; and Grilled Hanwoo in Yellow Leeks, crafted from yellow leeks wrapped in Hanwoo beef striploin and grilled in a special garlic sauce. Other highlights include Imushi Yubaangkake, Japanese-style glutinous rice topped with fish roe; Karashi Miso Nabe, with fresh spiny lobster; Nianago Pot-steamed Rice topped with slowly-cooked sea eel, and a final course of Matcha Green Tea and Wagashi cookies. The Tea and Kaiseki menu is available every Monday from 6 p.m., by advance reservation, for a maximum of six diners, and priced at 260,000 won.

Through Jan. 25: Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam will promote various foods including its 2022 Lunar New Year to-go box. In the to-go box, there are traditional dishes such as abalone and beef rib stew, pollack pancakes, vegetable and ham skewers, various namul or Korean herbs, grilled Yellow Croaker, tteukgook and steamed octopus. In total, there are four types of pancakes and seven dishes in the box. All the food is cooked by the hotel's chefs and wrapped in airtight packaging to be enjoyed comfortably at home.  
 
The dishes can be purchased individually as well. Prices range from 20,000 won to 60,000 won. But if all seven menus are purchased as a set, there is a 25 percent discount.
 
The set of seven will be sold to the first 100 people to make a reservation.  
 
Reservations will run until Jan. 25 and the boxes will be distributed between Jan. 29 and 31 at the hotel.  
 
Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam’s Garden Bistro has also launched its new lunch special. 
 
A total of nine dishes are offered including cream carbonara tagliatelle, pork ribs, seafood aglio e olio, grilled salmon, beef tenderloin steak and grilled lamb chops. The dishes range from 22,000 won to 37,000 won.  
 
Customers are also able to enjoy the restaurant’s salad bar which includes deserts, bread, salad, soup and coffee.  
 
For an additional 15,000 won, customers can enjoy an unlimited amount of alcoholic beverages such as wine or beer.
 
For Hilton Honors members there is an extra 10 to 25 percent discount. Those who newly register for the membership are offered a 10 percent discount.
