Younghoon of boy band The Boyz tested positive for Covid-19, according to IST Entertainment on Wednesday.

“After Eric [a member of the band] tested positive for the virus, the rest of the band’s members as well as the staff underwent PCR testing on Monday,” the agency wrote on The Boyz’ official fan cafe.

Everyone tested negative but since then, they have all remained in self-quarantine, said the agency.

Earlier this week, Eric contracted the virus after having dinner with an acquaintance who later tested positive for Covid-19.

Though Younghoon was negative after Monday’s test, the agency said that he voluntarily took another PCR test Tuesday night which came back positive the following morning.

“Following Younghoon’s news of the coronavirus, all the staff and The Boyz’ members will continue to self-quarantine in case the virus is dormant,” added IST Entertainment.

On Sunday, The Boyz attended the 31st Seoul Music Awards held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, southwestern Seoul.

The Boyz is an 11-member group that debuted in 2017. It consists of Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric. It gained more popularity after winning Mnet's music competition show "Road to Kingdom" (2020).
