Television host Kim Seong-joo has tested positive for Covid-19, according to his agency Janggoon Entertainment Tuesday.

The agency said that Kim tested positive in a PCR test which he took at a hospital after getting a positive result from a self-test.

Kim is only displaying mild symptoms and is being treated for the virus at home.

The agency added that Kim has been vaccinated three times.

Kim is currently the host of seven television programs — “King of Mask Singer,” “Gukgasu” (translated), “Our Strategy Time” (translated), “Gag Winners” (translated), “We Kick Together 2,” “Call of the Country” (translated) and “The Iron Squad 2.”

“Call of the Country” (translated) and “The Iron Squad 2” are scheduled to premier this month.

As of Tuesday afternoon, only “Our Strategy Time” (translated) has delayed pre-recording for the show for one week.

Kim debuted in 1997 as a sports television newscaster. He subsequently became MBC’s newscaster in 2000. He left MBC in 2007 and has built his career as a television host on various local programs.
