Chevy Bolts will be sold again in Korea from the second quarter.

Bolt EVs and Bolt EUVs were recalled and their production suspended after vehicle fires were reported in Bolts equipped with LG Energy Solution batteries.

General Motors recalled some 70,000 Bolt EVs and EUVs last year.

Production will begin again in April at the General Motors Orion Assembly plant, Orion, Michigan and shipments to Korea will start in the second quarter.

Orders for both models were taken in Korea from last August, but the process was halted due to the recall. The first deliveries will go to those who have already lodged orders.

Both models will run on 66 kilowatt-hour batteries with a single motor that is able to generate a maximum horsepower of 204 and torque of 36.7 kilogram-meter.

The Bolt EV goes 414 kilometers (257 miles) on a single charge, while Bolt EUV can run 403 kilometers.

GM Korea plans to market 10 electric models in Korea by 2025.
