JYP Entertainment’s new girl group Nmixx’s debut EP “Ad Mare” landed at No. 2 on the worldwide iTunes albums chart and No. 12 on the European iTunes albums chart on Wednesday, a day after its release.
The EP topped iTunes top albums charts in regions like Taiwan, Brazil and Mexico and entered the top 10 in Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada and more.
“Ad Mare” is composed of two tracks "占 (TANK)” and “O.O.”
The new girl group was supposed to hold a debut showcase on Tuesday, the same day of its debut, but it was pushed back to March 1 after member Bae tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb. 18.
Nmixx is composed of seven members — Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Apart from Lily who is Korean-Australian, all members are Korean.
Nmixx is pronounced N mix. The letter "N" means now, new, next and an unknown variable, according to JYP Entertainment while “mixx” symbolizes a combination of all the different meanings of “n” to create a new unified result.
Nmixx’s debut showcase will be held at 8 p.m. on March 1 at the Blue Square in Yongsan District, central Seoul. The concert will be available offline and also streamed online.
