Singer AleXa is set to make an appearance on NBC’s “American Song Contest,” her agency ZB Label said Friday.
 
“American Song Contest” is NBC’s upcoming music reality competition show hosted by Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson. Artists from each of the 50 U.S. states will compete together to win votes from viewers and earn the title of Best Original Song.
 
AleXa will represent Oklahoma, the state where she was born.
 
“I’m thrilled to be able to represent Oklahoma in ‘American Song Contest,’” AleXa was quoted as saying by the agency. “I’ll do my best to show unforgettable performances.”
 
AleXa, whose real name is Alexandra Christine Schneiderman, is an American singer based in Korea. She debuted in 2019 after gaining popularity by appearing on Soompi's audition program "Rising Legends" in 2016 and on Mnet's "Produce 48" in 2018. Her first digital single single was “Bomb” (2019).
 
“American Song Contest” will premiere on March 21.
