Lee Jung-jae wins Best Actor in a Drama Series at Critics Choice Awards

"Squid Game" (2021) star Lee Jung-jae won Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
“Squid Game" also won the Best Foreign Language Series award.
In the hit Netflix Korea series, Lee portrayed the lead role of Seong Gi-hun, a struggling father who participates in a series of deadly children's games for prize money of 45.6 billion won ($38.7 million).
Also in the Best Actor in a Drama Series category were Sterling K. Brown from "This Is Us," Mike Colter from "Evil," Brian Cox from "Succession," Billy Porter from "Pose" and Jeremy Strong from "Succession."
"Squid Game" was a worldwide hit after its release in September 2021, becoming the most-watched series on Netflix with over 1.65 billion hours of view time in the first 28 days after its release.
Lee has won numerous prizes for his role in "Squid Game" at the Gotham Awards, People's Choice Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards among others.
