“Squid Game” star Hoyeon, whose real name is Jung Ho-yeon, has been cast in Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón’s AppleTV+’s series “Disclaimer.”

Her casting was reported Thursday by Variety, Hollywood Reporter and TV Insider.

The Oscar-winning director is known for “Gravity” (2013), “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” (2004) and “Great Expectations” (1998).

“Disclaimer” is an adaptation of a novel by British author Renée Knight. It stars Cate Blanchett, who will play successful television documentary maker Catherine Ravenscroft. When Catherine comes upon a mysterious novel, she discovers that the story is about herself and becomes horrified.

Hoyeon will play Kim, who works for Catherine and is described as an “ambitious, hardworking and eager-to-please” character.

“Disclaimer” also stars Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

The date of the series' premiere has not been revealed.

Model Hoyeon debuted as an actor in the role of North Korean defector Sae-byeok in the Netflix series “Squid Game” (2021).
