Mnet will launch a reality show in May starring the leaders of dance crews that featured on its hit all-female competition show “Street Woman Fighter” (2021), the cable channel announced Wednesday.

The upcoming show will feature the leaders of eight dance crews — Honey J, Monika, Aiki, Lee Jung, Rihey, Gabee, Hyojinchoi and No:ze — who rocketed to stardom after appearing on the competition show.

The dancers will teach people who are interested in dance but have never taken any classes. Mnet will accept applications for participants in the near future through social media.

The reality show is scheduled to start airing before “Street Man Fighter,” a male spin-off of the hit dance competition show set to start some time in the summer.

"Street Woman Fighter" aired from August to October last year and saw high ratings. The show is considered to have shed light on street dance, a once-obscure genre in Korea. Its teenage spin-off "Street Dance Girls Fighter" also saw success when it aired between November 2021 and January 2022.
