Cardi B to appear as guest shark on 'Baby Shark's Big Show'
Rapper Cardi B is set to make a guest appearance in a “Baby Shark” video next month, according to the series’ creator The Pinkfong Company, formerly known as SmartStudy, on Friday.
Cardi B will be featured in the children’s animated television series “Baby Shark’s Big Show,” which has been jointly produced by the local educational entertainment company and Nickelodeon.
The rapper will voice the role of a new animated shark character named Sharki B, who is described as the “biggest star in the seven seas.” Her husband, rapper Offset, will also appear as Offshark, along with their daughter Kulture as Kulture Shark.
The special episode titled “The Seaweed Sway” will premiere on April 15. The show is currently available to view in countries including the United States, Britain, Italy and Australia.
The theme song for the episode will drop on global music streaming sites like Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music on April 8.
The Pinkfong Company said that it will reveal the second season of “Baby Shark’s Big Show” in the latter part of this year, and has plans for a feature film of the animated sharks slated for next year.
The “Baby Shark” series has been a worldwide hit after the original song was first released via YouTube in 2016. The song previously entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 32, and in January this year the song became the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views.
